Not meant that seriously. Starting based on the total number of tweets two minutes ago and the observed tweet amount within the last 20 minutes this counter adjusts its pace every two minutes through updated data from the server. For that matter the actual displayed number is obviously only an extrapolated estimation while the mind blowing increase of tweets every second should be captured quite accurately. Time and again astonishing, one completed outer ring equals 1000 new tweets.
